Put herrings into water for about 30 minutes. Drain the water and cut herrings into cubes. Boil potatoes and beetroots separately in "coats". Cool, peel off and cut intp cubes.
Boil eggs hard, cool and cut into cubes. Cut onions also into cubes. Prepared ingredients put into layers as follows: potatoes, herrings, onion, beetroots and eggs.
Mix 7 tablespoons of cream and mayonnaise, spice up with salt and pepper and pour onto layered ingredients. Sprinkle the top green parsley, fennel or chive.
Ready herrings put into fridge for 3 hours.
