Egyptian layer cake




Ingredients:
Cake:
6 whites
6 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of flour
1 cup (20 dag) chopped walnuts
Mixture:
6 yolks
6 tablespoons of sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
3 cups (3/4 l) of milk
vanilla custard
2 tablespoons of flour
1 cup (25 dag) of butter
3-4 tablespoons of powdered chocolate
Decoration:
2 cups (1/2 l) of cream (30 %)
1/4 cup (5 dag) of chopped nuts
2 powdered cream (fix)

Directions:

Whip whites, add sugar (still whip). Add flour and walnuts. Mix gently. Put into greased round form. Bake 20-25 minutes in 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cool it down.

Boil 2 cups of milk. Beat yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar, add flour, custard and rest of milk. Mix. Add to hot milk. Boil 2-3 minutes. Cool it down.

Beat butter. Then add spoon by spoon of mixture (cold!!) Divide mixture on 2 parts. Add chocolate to one of them.

Smear chocolate mixture on cake. On chocolate mixture smear vanilla mixture.

Beat cream, add powdered cream. Use it to decorate.

Use walnuts to decorate too.

Garlic

You shouldn't boil or fry it too long because it is likely to loose its specific flavour. Remember, if you will overcook it, it may becomes bitter.

Garlic should be added into dishes at the end of its preparation.
