Layer cake with fruit




Ingredients:
Sponge cake:
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of flour
1 tablespoon of vinegar
2 tablespoons of sugar
rum aroma
Crisp cake:
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup (10 dag) of butter
yolk
teaspoon of powdered sugar
Cottage cheese mixture:
2 boxes (ca 1 pound) of vanilla cottage cheese
2 eggs
3 tablespoons of sugar
4 tablespoons of gelatine
More:
3/4 cup of cherry jam
2 cheery jellies
fruit: peaches, strawberries, pineapples


Directions:

Beat eggs with sugar, mix with vinegar, flour and aroma. Put cake into greased round form. Bake 30 minutes in 340 degrees F (170 degrees C). Cool it down.

Use ingredients for crisp cake to make them. Put into fridge on hour. Then put cake on round form, bake 20 minutes.

Melt gelatine in 4 tablespoons of hot water. And jellies melt in 3 cups of water.

Cool them down.

Beat yolks, add 1 and 1/2 tablespoon of sugar, add cottage cheese, mix. Whip whites, add rest of sugar. Mix with cheese mixture and gelatine.

Put in round form: crisp cake, smear jam on it, then cheese mixture, fruit, jellies. Then put cake into fridge on 2-3 hours.

You shouldn't boil or fry it too long because it is likely to loose its specific flavour. Remember, if you will overcook it, it may becomes bitter.

Garlic should be added into dishes at the end of its preparation.
