Ingredients

For the Croissants
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bar (milk or dark)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted) or 1 beaten egg for glaze Use melted butter for a richer finish.
  • to taste coarse sugar, flaky salt, cinnamon sugar, or powdered sugar Optional toppings for serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 325°F. If your model runs cool, set it to 350°F. Line the basket with a perforated parchment liner or lightly spray it with oil.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate the triangles. Place a small pile of chocolate chips or a piece of chocolate on the wide end of each triangle.
  3. Roll from the wide end to the tip, tucking the sides slightly to keep the chocolate in. Curve them into a slight crescent shape.
  4. Brush the tops with melted butter or egg for extra color. Sprinkle coarse sugar if desired.
  5. Arrange the croissants in the air fryer basket with some space between each. Air fry for 7 to 9 minutes, until golden on top and lightly browned at the edges.
  6. Let them cool for a couple of minutes so the chocolate sets. Dust with powdered sugar or add a tiny pinch of flaky salt. Enjoy warm.

Notes

Keep rolls neat by not overfilling with chocolate. Use a liner or oil to prevent sticking and upgrade the finish with a butter brush or egg wash.
