Preparation
- Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square pan.
- In a bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla, melted butter, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the oats, then fold in the diced apples and any optional add-ins.
- Pour the mixture into the pan and spread evenly. If you like a golden top, scatter a teaspoon of brown sugar over the surface.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the edges look set and the center is just a little soft.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve warm with a splash of milk or a dollop of yogurt.
